An MCO (Messenger Content Object) file is a file containing MSN Messenger/ Windows Live Messenger content, which includes:

  • Custom emoticon (smiley)
  • Display Picture (avatar/ user tile)
  • Background
  • Wink
  • Deluxe Display Picture (mood/meego/muggin)
  • Dynamic Background

MCO files can be installed into MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.

ConCon MCO Editor lets you view, edit and install existing MCO files (such as those created from ConCon Retriever when you backup your Messenger content).

You can also create your own content pack. You can only add static contents from files (emoticons, backgrounds, display pictures). However,using ConCon Messenger Content Retriever you can make an MCO containing your dynamic contents (winks, deluxe display pictures, dynamic backgrounds).

ConCon MCO Editor makes it easy to add hundreds of images as custom emoticons at once to your MSN Messenger/ Windows Live Messenger, and set their key sequences automatically based on their filenames. (How?)
